Issue with BX after changing all fluids. FEL will not lift.

Hello! I purchased a used BX2360 last week with 370 hours. It was only used for mowing and the FEL was only used to carry around mulch, so it has lived an easy life. The tractor is like new and up until today was operating as desired, with very quick hydraulic movement.

I wanted to get familiar with the tractor and I performed the 400 hour maintenance a little early. I replaced the front axle fluid, oil/filter, air filter, fuel filters, and the hydraulic oil/filter. Everything turned out great and I learned a lot about the tractor, however I now have a hydraulic issue.

I let the hydro oil drain over night. Today I put on the new filter (Sure Filter SFH6990), removed and replaced the metal screen filter (which didn't have anything on it) and filled up the case with Super UDT2. I started the tractor and moved the wheels side to side and then raised and lowered the 3pt hitch. Topped off the fluid, and then when I tried to lift the bucket, it will not move. It sounds like the engine is bogging down. The bucket will curl, and the tractor will move forward and back, however it appears the engine sounds way more loaded than it did before while moving. I even let the engine idle at a higher RPM for a few minutes to see if anything would clear, but it didn't help.

Is there some kind of bleeding procedure that I need to perform since I let it drain overnight? I'm at a loss on what could do this. I never removed the bucket during this process, so I did not try adjusting the quick disconnects. Something else of note, I did have the bucket in the float position overnight.

I should say that the fluid looked like new when I drained it, but I of course cannot see contaminants, and the filter was painted gray and extremely tough to remove, so I suspect this is the first time a fluid change has happend on the hydraulic portion.

Any ideas? Thank you in advance.

I would remove and re-seat the quick disconnect couplers on the hydraulic lines for the loader lift/lower.

Since everything else works, looks like it is related to that one circuit. Also move the control lever in various directions, just in case something is hung up.

Normally there is no need to bleed hydraulic cylinders. They self bleed when cycled through their normal range of movement.

What you are probably hearing is the pressure relief valve activating, due to a blockage in that function somewhere.

Hopefully others will give better/more specific advice...

Wouldn't you know it, the one line was not coupled. That is so odd, the previous owner had never removed the FEL and I didn't touch those. Wonder if me using the float control for the first time ever was enough to kill pressure from that line and since it wasn't all the way snapped in, it popped off.

Either way things are working perfect, and wow did that fluid change quiet down that transmission!
