I am the proud owner of a B6100. I love everything about this tractor EXCEPT the hydraulic system. I would love to upgrade to quick connects all the way around, and run lines to the rear and front respectively. Is this a good or bad idea? Has anybody done this? I need a little insight on this please!! Thanks in advance...

Why no love for the hydraulics :confused:? Their concept is really simple.... You need to take some pictures of what your working with so people can better assist you ;).

I read on another one of your posts that you have a FEL. How is the hydraulics fed for the FEL? Does it have it's own pump on the front of the tractor? Is it fed from a hydraulic block next to the break pedal? There is a few different ways to tap into the hydraulics and add onto.....

In my opinion, quick connects are only worth it if you need to disconnect lines frequently. It only takes a few minutes to spin a few fitting, and quick connects will leak before anything else. Once they do, replacing is about the only option and they aren't cheap! If it was a NPT or JIC fitting, it just may need tightening or little pipe dope to seal the deal. SAE, a new o ring fixes that.

What do you plan on running with extra remotes?

My FEL is run from the hydraulic block next to the break pedal. I was just thinking about the future (when running remotes). I kinda thought having remotes in the front would better assist me if ever I used a dozer blade or something. The more I think about it, you are right, I should just leave things well enough alone...

Switching between a dozer blade and a FEL is no quick task. One option may be to weld the blade mounts to the loader sub frame. The subframe may be similar to the dozer frame but I have never seen one in person. I don't know how easy it is to remove the loader arms and bucket.... You wouldn't need any extra remotes to run a dozer blade, one for up/down, one for left/right same as the FEL. If you want to add on you just need to splice in another spool. The out of your existing valve would connect to the In of the added spool. Out from that spool back to the tractor. The working ports will connect to what ever you want to use it for.

Your probably better off keeping the FEL on and getting a 3 pt blade. Tough to beat a FEL ***128521;

Forgot to mention that any spools you want to add on have to be open center, the fluid has to circulate through the in/out all the time with no obstructions. If you remove something from the working ports they have to be looped together. Same goes for the hydraulic block, they have to be looped not capped off.
