Just hooked up the brush hogg to my L3240HST on Saturday, after doing some
cutting I was heading into the barn when I noticed I was leaving a trail of
fluid. On closer inspection the fluid was dripping from under the hydraulic box/connections to the right of my foot. See the pictures attached.
I removed the box cover, and noticed that the fluid was running out pretty
steady around the seam..marked in the picture. Then I noticed that the
4 hex screws..holding this long .. I think it's a selinoid were very lose, so I tightened them the best I could using a hex wrench. After doing this a good
part of the leaking stopped, possibly all, I'll keep an eye on this for awhile.
Some questions...what is this box/hydraulic connections called in regards to the Kubota parts diagrams?...can't make it out on them..just had Messicks send me them.
Is this leaking issue around this area a common problem...it seems that maybe vibrations over the last 4 years since I've had this tractor might have caused this? I have never used this box as a step! Have not had any other
hydraulic leaks up to this point .
Cheers,
Clint
