Working the L3600GST this weekend started hearing a squeak/Chirp shifting from F to R and noticed a delay. Checked sight glass and looked way low no bubble and thought it was below sight glass. Had a wet hose connection for a wile so after fixing what I thought was leaking I got a new pail of UDT w/ a filter figuring I could spin it off and swap it out fast. Lost only about a qt I think. Then poured in a lil fluid and checked, looked the same. Kept pouring and checking, looked the same. Got nervous read some posts and decided to try to use a clean piece of wire for a dip stick and looked like it was some place near the window but its hard to judge for sure. Took a pic of the window to see if any one would care to offer up an opinion if I am full or still down a quart or two. I used up the 5 gallons and now wondering if IM way over? I checked with the machine warm, cold, off, running, all rams relaxed, contracted once with a bologna sandwich in my left hand. Still looks the same to me. Sorry if this is a lame question but if any one has insight it would be greatly appreciated. Incidentally the squeak did fade after a few shifts and seems to be working ok but just want the right level.
Thanks
Sean

Darn sight glasses anyway! When I get confused like that I get a clean pail and start draining some out. It's better than putting too much new oil in and then draining it!

Was afraid you may say that lol. Well I find it hard to believe I put in 5 gal and it didn't change. Had leaky hose not a dripper but wet for weeks. The delay and whining so figured it had to be low. even lost a quart or so changing filter so should have gone below window at some point. Or ben that way all along. You may be right time to drain it off. Thanks for the advice Ed
