I was working the tractor a bit this morning, doing a bit of yard work prior to putting it up for sale and after about an hour of use I occasionally heard a whine or whistle when operating the FEL. I am thinking I need to check the fluid level. I found a 2 gal jug of UDT that my father had bought years ago - I might as well use it if the level is low.

I found this thread when searching for where the dipstick of full/orverflow plug is located. http://www.orangetractortalks.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1817&highlight=trans+fluid+level Is this the same for an L295DT? Looking down into the hyd oil fill plug I have difficulty even seeing the oil level.

Hello
Yes the level plug is the same as the L175. The plug should take a 12 mm wrench and is normally painted red. Is the front loader running off the tractor hydraulics? If you are hearing whining I would think the level would have to be very low or you may have a hydraulic filter screen plugged up. The filter screen is located on the right side of the engine near the hydraulic pump.
Good Luck Lance
