Hello,
I just recently changed the hydraulic fluid and filter for the first time (since I have owned the tractor). The owners manual says the capacity is 7.5 gallons so I drained the trans case (at the 4 points) and then filled with 7.5 gallons.
The window on the left side of the trans case isn't even registering fluid at all. Since it didn't specify in the owners manual, I filled most of the fluid through the filler near the 3pt arm and then about the last half to 1 gallon through the filler in front of the seat (top of trans case). If I look down into the trans case with a flashlight, it doesn't look like there is much fluid in there.
I was under the impression that the two fillers led to the same place (common fluid) but perhaps I'm wrong?
The tractor does have a loader but I did not drain any of the lines or cylinders.
Should I drain some from a plug on the rear axle and pour in through the filler in front of the seat? If these are separate compartments, how do I know when the axle case is full?
Thanks
