Looking at a used Landpride LR0560 Landscape rake, with gauge wheels and fold down blade. It says Cat 0 with Cat 1 pins. I understand that allows it to work on smaller tractor. However, will it still work on a B2601 with Cat 1 3pt?

I am supposed to go and get it tomorrow and just saw this and wanted to get it straightened out so I don't end up with a hunk o junk I can't use.

Thanks so much in advance!

It probably will work as long as you know a quick hitch probably needs to be removed and only the lower arms and the top link are used. You might have to add a bracket at the top link depending on what the rake has there.

If I was going to try that, I would measure my tractor's 3 pt spacing before I went, then measure the pins on the attachment. Measure with the lower links as close together as you can get them. If that distance is equal to or less than the pin distance you are good to go (until you decide to get a quick hitch!) Top link should work either way.

Category zero equipment is usually used for ultra small tractors. The critical dimension is width. Sometimes you can make them fit on cat 1 machines, because to work on the cat zero sometimes the mfr puts the pins on backwards (facing inwards). If that is the case, all you have to do is to take off the pins, and replace them with the correct cat 1 pins and reverse them.

Some dealers don't stock equipment for cat zero machines, and this is a way of keeping some equipment on hand that will adapt to a smaller tractor, with a little work. When you get the piece, post a picture here, and the guys here can make a more than general comment on its fitness for your particular purpose...:D

Here is a data sheet on cat dimensions that may help.
Will your cat 1 close to 20"?
It may have been a 0 modified for 1 pins?
