GR2100 Cutting out after engaging cutting blades and driving

Hi

I have recently acquired a GR2100 with 250 hours on the clock. It runs well and engines sounds good everything appears to be clean and in line with hours.

Every time I engage the cutting blades and start to cut the engine labours and then stalls. Sometimes I get 50 yards and next time I get 1 or 2 yards. Can anyone offer any advice as to what might be causing this issue.

Is there a switch you have to push to back up? I'm wondering if it has to be pushed again to go forward?

How long has it been since you have cleaned under the mowing deck? I have a pretty rough yard and clean mine every couple of mowings. If I don't keep it clean, I have the same problem that you described.
