Getting Rear Tire back on bead

Took our new to us L2950 out today to do some clearing at our land. I had my wife running the tractor while I cut down trees. She ran over a couple of small trees that were a little to big and broke the shear bolt. No biggie, I just did not have another.

However, after finding that and beginning to trouble shoot wy the Brush Hog would not engage, the left rear tire was flat. Turns out that the threaded ring on the valve stem was plastic and it cracked and was leaking at the valve stem. No way to fix other than breaking the tire down and replacing the valve stem. I had a brass semi valve stem at the house, so we loaded up and came home so I could replace it. Used the drive on the tire method to get the bead broke (only broke down the inner bead on the valve stem side of the rim) and replaced the valve stem, however I cannot get the tire back on the bead.

I have tried everything I can think of. We have soaped up the tire/rim and placed it with only the tire being supported and to jump on the rim while pumping in air. That did not work. I tried the starting fluid method, and could not get the Whoomp! ignition, so that did not work. Even tried putting a racket strap around the middle of the tire tread and tightening down to force the bead to the wheel and seal enough to hold air and inflate, and that did not work.

Does anyone have any other suggestions on how to get this bead sealed on this tire? We are trying to clear land to build and we are shut down until we can get this tire back in service.

Thanks

BTW can these tires have inner tubes put in them?

Is that a fix I should do, put in an inner tube and let it catch the air to set the tire bead?

Lets start with the basics, valve core is removed. Lets assume it is.
My process would be block rim so tire open side is down, let it sit for an hour or so to let gravity helps settle tire to rim. Then try air.

Lets assume that didnt work. Six blocks of wood, and the wheel leaky side up up front under bucket, with tire blocked up and bucket pressing down on rim(gently) bead should grab and take air.

No loader? Find something big to throw wheel under and use a jack. The trick is to push tire evenly all around.

Dang, tuff tires . Try the starting fluid again. Spray two cans blowing in two different spots at the same time . If it doesn't jump off the ground a little it means you didn't use enough. Just be CAREFUL. Sounds like you know what you're doing , just be safe .

This tractor has TR218 tire valves in them. I can only find this particular valve on tire tubes, hence the reason the outside thread ring is plastic, just needs to hold it in place to fill it.

I think this tractor has tubes in the rear tires. I am searching like a mad man for new tubes, I can't seem to find anything.

That would explin your troubles. When asking about tubes, keep in mind a slightly different size tube will work too. Slightly smaller will work better than larger- less likely to pinch tube.

I have the 420/70R24, R4 Tires on my tractor. Size converter says they are 47x16.5R24 in inches. I am looking at getting the 13.6/14.9r24 tubes. I have to figure out where I can find one on sunday.
