gas powered flail on the FEL?

I would like a front mounted flail for my LX, but not so badly that it would be worth figuring out the hydraulics, not to mention the cost of the entire package. A rear flail I don't think would be highly useful as my property is hilly and uneven, and I probably can't fully drive the tractor where I'd need to go. Really I just need to push back the brush line on the sides of roads and in some other wider parking areas for my neighbors. My neighbor has a gas powered flail he tows behind his ATV and I wondered if one of those mounted to the FEL might do the trick? Obvious dangers aside (like lifting it high in the air) I'm thinking there must be a reason this hasn't been done? the investment would be fairly low compared to making one of the purpose build hydraulic units work, if that was even possible. Weld a quick attach plate to the flail, possibly some wheels so you can run it in float?
Tell me I'm a dummy, I can take it...:sneaky:

A mount could be fabricated to attach a gas powered flail mower to the Front End Loader, though you'd want to ensure the flails could throw debris away from the tractor. I'd also suggest some sort of shielding because flails are pretty violent.

However, a three-point-hitch flail mower "floats" and should therefore conform to the terrain on its own, a FEL mount would require the operator to adjust the height fairly continuously (like on a Skid-steer).

I understand that unlike a Skid-steer, tractors don't have a large enough hydraulic pump to hydraulically power a flail mower, but I'm no expert in that department.

Why hasn't it been done....well, it has, apparently. As a hack-landscaper (if you even want to call me that) my impression is it's f-ing dangerous as he!!. I have the smallest high-quality rear-mount flail mower I could find and shiver me timbers it's wicked, especially when it shears off the top of a hidden boulder--and remember mine floats!!!
