G1800 starting issue

Installed new battery and both fuel filters on a G1800 my Aunt gave me the starter wont even spin. I have battery voltage at the starter, I have dash lights and headlights. Fuseable link checked for continuity, seat safety switch as well. Mower has been sitting this is second year, was running when parked?? Just started going through it, any suggestions ?

Is the PTO lever in neutral?

3 safety switches on your machine: pto lever, seat, and brake. If it sat for a long time the contacts could be rusted.

In addition to fusible link there are three fuses under the steering wheel.

Try jumping the starter with a long screwdriver. If battery is good, that will spin the starter. Bypasses key switch.

All the levers are in the right position, I have started physically checking condition of the wiring... thanks for the suggestions guys..appreciate the feed back

Got the mower running, not sure of the actual problem. I went through the wiring cleaning and making sure everything was connected. Did find wire from the fuseable link was very loose and the starter ground as well. Still would not turn over, jumped out the starter and if fired up and ran great. So far so good starts with the key and everything running and cutting well
