I have a 1997 kubota L2500dt with a LB400 loader. My problem is with the loader, when I curl up or roll up the bucket and then release the joystick to neutral position the bucket slowly rolls down like in the dump mode. It will not hold in the curl up mode. Is there a problem with the the control valve, is the valve repairable, or do I need to replace the valve?
Thanks

Most issues with the control valve are not repairable.

However, you need to make certain you do not have a problem with internal seals in your bucket cylinders.

Are your loader hoses connected to the control valve through quick couplers?

If so you can do any of the following:

Swap lift arm and bucket hoses at the control valve to see if the problem persists or if the loader arms now are drifting down

Or, disconnect the bucket hoses while the bucket is supported on the ground. Raise the loader arms and then see if the bucket still moves down even when not connected to the loader valve.

Be sure your lever is returning to true neutral also. Could it be moving past there just a little due to say a limb or such in the linkage?

I swapped the bucket hoses with the boom hoses, the problem remained with the bucket still dropping. So it looks like I have bucket cylinder problems. Thanks for your help, I'll find someone who can repair them.
