Thought I would post a few pictures of a set of forks I built for my tractor. I handle a fair amount of fire wood and saw logs and was getting tired of using a chain with the bucket to move them around and on to the sawmill deck. They are rather short on purpose so I would not pick up too much for the tractor. It's too bad Kubota has not incorporated a quick attach method for the bucket on the B series and I think also the BX series. In my opinion that is one area where JD has them beat and that's about the only area.

The only issue I have found is with them being independent they occasionally get out of sync with each other but that is easily corrected. Apparently the hydraulic flow is not always equal between the paired cylinders. Not sure I want to weld a bar between them just yet and don't thing it's really necessary. Anyone have an idea if I am hurting anything by having them independent?

I probably would run a tie bar between them just to add some protection on twisting one of the loader arms. If you tweek one of those arms you will really have trouble putting your bucket back on. A piece of 2x3 tube would only add 15lbs

Kubota Part number 1658 is the QA that fits the B series. It pins on in place of the bucket, then uses the original brackets, etc on the bucket. No modification necessary. Kubota will tell you it only fits the LA504, but it fits the LA 364 and LA 304 as well. List price is about $285. The fork setup is heavy and expensive though, so adapting what you have might save some weight and money. I plan to clamp a set of aluminum clamp on pallet forks to a special made adapter that simulates the bottom of a bucket, without all the extra weight and visibility problem of using them on the bucket.

Thanks RBA50! Wonder why Kubota doesn't make this known? I'll certainly look into it further as removing and reattaching the bucket is not a lot of fun.

Thanks bandaidmd for the suggestion, I had considered welding the two forks together as you indicated but because of the difficulty with getting the pins to line up I held off (my welding skills aren't too hot either) however, with the QA that RBA50 mentioned that would no longer be an issue. Thanks guys!

Oh yea the pin quick attach is nice, here's a pic of it. And now you can buy the skid steer quick attach from a b2650 that will also fit for a little more, if you want to go SSQA

Probably because their pallet fork attachment is so heavy that on the smaller loaders it would loose too much lift capacity. If you keep your fork setup light, it will work fine.

The part number on the spec sheet shows B2366 @ $432.00.
Here's a crappy pic of it from the brochure. Someone over on TBN has one and the buckets and has confirmed it fits a universal SSQA implament fine.
