Hello all,
I'm getting ready to close on a 4 acre property and looking at a tractor to help do some brush hogging, minor grading and general land maintenance. Im talking to my dealer about a new L3302HST and the quote is a little more than I was expecting. The tractor (HST, R4 tires) is $26,200. The LA526 loader with 66" QD is $6,700. Box scrapper BB1260 is $900, totaling $33,800 - Kubota rebate of $3,000 so $30,800 (plus miscellaneous fees).

If I build the tractor on Kubota's webpage it comes to $25,599 (tractor with R4), LA526 loader is $5,753 but the box scrapper doesn't offer pricing. Minus the $3,000 rebate is $29,196. The dealer quote for the tractor and loader only is $29,900.

This is my first tractor purchase but I purchased cars/boats/SxS and I've never paid MSRP, much less over. Like ATVs/SxS there is an assembly fee...I understand, but even including the assemble fees the agreed price is below MSRP. The dealer doesn't seem to be willing to budge. Is this just the way tractor sales are or should I start shopping other dealers?

Thank you in advance.

Shop it around. I bought a L3901 in 2021 and I had a spread of numbers from 4 different dealers. The highest was MSRP from one dealer and exactly what I expected from them. The winner was 10% off MSRP and I watched one of the others take their discount off as he put the offer together.

Keep in mind the Kubota website doesn't factor in labor cost for installs. May not matter so much for just a loader, but I know the cost of the BH92 I just got a quote on factored in the subframe installs, rear remote installs, etc (~8+ hours of labor allegedly). I got a quote on a L4802 recently, so not apples to apples but:

L4802 bare Tractor w/ filled Ag Tires: $29,700
Loader w/ add-ons $7,600
Total: $37,300

so roughly 4k above where you are at on your 3302. Again, not apples to apples but its a data point. One other thing to keep in mind in addition to the Kubota rebate/financing deal going right now is that Orange Days are an additional promotion where each dealership has a day where they are giving special promotions. When I inquired about it my dealer called marketing and tacked another $500 off for that promotion even though their "day" isn't until next month. Not much but will help offset your implement cost. Happy hunting though, you will love the 33. My dad has a 3301 and it's a great tractor.

Looks like there is still an equine discount. $2000 off for joining a horse association that's free to join.....

I suspect some of that $2,000 is discount you already have. But some may not be.
