I was installing my FEL on L3901 after mowing with my finish mower and could not get any of the 4 hydraulic lines to snap into place. Never had this much trouble in the past. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

can you manually depress the poppets (or whatever they are called) on each of the connectors to ensure there is no pressure in the hoses?

are the connectors clean?

You probably have pressure built up in the hoses. Be careful with that since it can be injected through your skin and that is BAD!

Put a rag over the end of the hoses and wear safety glasses and leather gloves before trying to relieve the hose pressure as instructed above. You can also loosen the hose connection to the coupler or the cylinder but use the same precautions.

1. Grab a rubber/wood mallet.

2. Close your eyes.

3. Tap that "little titty" on the “male end” .

4. Pour yourself a “vicrtoy drink"

I was able to push the poppets in with a wooden dowel. Only one of the lines had pressure built up enough to squirt a blob of hydraulic fluid. After that all lines snapped into place like normal. Probably a good idea to have the relief tool, if only for safety. Thanks for everyone's help.
