just bought and old style B7100 and want to change out all the fluids. The fel is self contained, with pump running off front pto. Resevoir is in right tower. Problem is, there is no drain plug (or fluid level indicator for that matter).
How do I go about draining the fluid?

I also want to switch to UDT..is this a good Idea?

I just changed out my fluid on my FEL, it's the same as yours.
You have to remove the filter at the bottom of the right tower to drain it,
but that still leaves some left to suck out of the bottom.
Here's the fun part what you find in the bottom of the tower is metal shavings with a grey looking mud about 1/2" thick, I used everything from a shop vac to a turkey baster (and brake cleaner) to get it all out! Maybe someone else has a better idea it took me awhile.
I cleaned the filter and filled it with UDT and kept the level at 4" below the fill opening as per my B-219 FEL manual, check again after you run it the level will drop.

thanks for the advise..did as you suggested and found to my surprise that the filter was clean, the fluid looked new, and there was no sludge at the botttom of the resevoir tower. Apparently some repairs were done to the loader since everything else on the tractor shows signs of neglect. I filled it with UDT. Will change it again after using it for a couple days in order to replace any of the old fluid still remaining.
