6.7 Powerstroke EGR Maintenance

Do the Kubota's have the same issue?
Same issue as in carbon fouling? I think any EGR system will result in lots of carbon fouling. EGR valves can seize up due to fouling. By the way, how the truck or tractor is used can really affect how much and how quickly carbon builds up in the EGR cooler and related parts. Under a good load EGR isn't needed, so if you idle a lot, make short trips, drive slow etc., that's when the EGR is operative, but not when the engine is producing plenty of power (under load) such as when towing or driving fast.

I like the idea of an EGR manifold maintenance schedule as suggested in the video. They used oven cleaner to get all the carbon out. EGR is the main thing that concerns me with my new F-450 truck. The DPF and DEF are not such a big deal, but all that carbon getting ingested is a concern.
