Purchased my L175 a couple of years ago and it's be a great machine for what I need. the clutch assembly rusted, so I split the case. I want to replace the clutch plate and throwout bearing while the case is split. Looks like the bearing is pressed on the grease collar. How do I remove the old one and install the new one. Can it be tapped off with a mallet or do I need to take it somewhere to have the new one pressed on?
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks - Rick.

Typically, you can put the unit in a vice (not clamped) the bearing supported but the carrier hanging. Then a piece pipe to drive the carrier out of the bearing, just make sure that pipe or socket is smaller the ID of the bearing but large enough to still drive the carrier!

You can use the vice to press the bearing onto the carrier or just put the bearing on decent bench and drive the carrier into bearing.
