DEF consumption m8560

I am considering a 2015 M8560 purchase. I'm curious how much DEF it will use under a moderate load such as a 15 ft shredder mowing regrowth mesquite and huisatche, and I do have some decent grass to mow also :)
I am thinking about a 7060 instead, just to avoid the DEF. I know, the 7060 may be at the minimum end of the requirements, but I have mowing with a 15 ft "wore out" Terrain King" behind a Fiat/Hesston 466 DT for 25 yrs. The little fiat only has 46.6 hp, and it bogs every now and then, but it has got the job done for a long time. The tractor, shredder, and ME are all wore out.
I may even look for a "pre tier4" tractor instead, but they cost almost as much as a new one.
Any advice is much appreciated, Gary

In my opinion the def set up is better the the dpf set up. At least with my experiences with diesel trucks. I would be more comfortable with the def set up as well.

In the trucks, you can go 1,500 miles or so before having to top off the def tank.

We have had less service issues with the trucks that have the def set up as well.

Just my 2 cents :)

Daren,Thanks for the reply. I have no experience with either system. It irritates me that we have to put up with all these regs being put out by people flying their personal, and or government jets around spewing black smoke by the tons. Pardon the rant, and thanks again, Gary

Thanks for the input. I solved the problems associated with the Tier4 engines.........
