Does anyone know where the temp sensor in a d902 is supposed to run to? And also what it’s function is , since there’s already a temp sensor
in the thermostat housing

I can’t find any schematics for it online.

it’s screwed into the cylinder head, back closest to cylinder 3 and has a blade style connector.

You'd be best going to a Bobcat forum, as Bobcat designed the wiring and such. maybe the head temp sensor is used as a 'fail safe...engine super hot' sensor ? Maybe an idiot light 'HOT' sensor ? Possible low flow, high heat sensor ??
Really need to hear from a Bobcat MT55 expert......

On some tractors with glow plug timers, there's a second temp sensor like that that reduces the preheat time when the engine is warm.

Maybe your machine is like that.

Yeah you’re probably right, I always go here first though because there seems to be more knowledge of this motor in general.

I did just swap out oil pressure sensor, and the threads were stripped, so it isn’t exactly tightening we’ll and leaks oil when running

Any suggestions on that?

one possible cheat...
tap for NPT version of the sensor ? NPT might be a 'tad' bigger diameter ??

other is to drill/install a 'Helicoil' to use original ( Metric ?) sensor.
