I have a genset here with no compression on #2 and #3 cylinders. #1 shows a excellent 580PSI (Not a very accurate gauge either, so I am sure its slightly lower)
I do not know the history of the genset, but it did come from a scheduled maintenance environment so it was not heavily neglected.
Here are my questions/thoughts.
Does anyone have any experience with compression backfeeding through injectors? I can clearly see and hear compression through the glowplug hole as the engine turns over, but it will not build enough compression on the gauge to really register any number, although the needle will move. I am using a glow plug compression tester.
Although the above is probably unlikely, I am leaning to a bad head gasket and most likely a cracked head between #2 and #3
Thanks for any help/input!
