I recently purchased a bush hog for my excavator. It is a construction attachments model. Local NC company. Cost a pretty penny. 11k all set up and returned to the house. But made right down the road and that matters to me. Bushmaster, out of Selma Alabama, is another unit/company I considered. Bush Hog is out of Selma too. Probably no coincidence. Also priced Rut Manufacturing, but I would have had to plumb a return line. So that would have ate their lower entry price.

I pondered this purchase for over a year. Did it through Kubota of Asheville and the experience was ok. They did get my machine all dirty. And used tape on the hydraulic fittings. Dirt is nothing a little wiping down won't take care of. But tape done wrong is a problem waiting to happen. I won't know for a while. It's the white stuff too. Definitely keeping an eye on those connections.

Put another 5 hours on it today and really started to get into "the zone". Didn't think to take any videos or before and after pictures to show off. I have two one hour sessions on it previously. You might be faster than me learning a new tool.

Here is a video I posted on the what did you do today thread. It cuts 3-4 inch material is you take your time and nibble away at it. Just like a bush hog on your tractor. but obviously the excavator can reach into some interesting places you can't with a tractor. I filmed the whole stretch but there was so much wind noise and stuff this was the best segment.

I'll post more when I have something to share. Expensive weed eaters are pretty amazing.
