Clean up grease

Hi all,

I have a BX 25 with 52 hours. I have made a mess with the grease gun. I would appreciate any advice on how to clean up the grease without doing any damage/discoloration to the paint.

Use your finger and a bunch of rags.

Once you've used up your supply of shop rags to get the majority off, use some simple green cleaner to get the slime off the paint. Won't damage the paint, but don't get any solvent into the bushing/area you are greasing, or it will break up the "wanted" grease.

Thanks blwn31, I had hoped to avoid the finger method.

Thanks Theekillerbee, my concern is the paint. I think maybe to dampen a cloth with the simple green would be better than spraying and getting it inside
fittings, bearings etc??

I was wondering how GOJO hand cleaner WITHOUT pumice might help. It sure works well for bearing grease on hands.
