Have a B5100D with leak at right rear axle seal. How hard is this seal to
change out? On the Manual diagram it looks like jack up tractor, remove wheel
pry out seal, push new seal in. I have seen a few posts on here that say
old seal can be removed by using very very fine drill bit and carefully drilling
hole in each side of seal, inserting small screws into seal and pulling out
with pliers. Sounds like this would work great?? Anyone with any experience
removing a seal this way. Would it be better to buy a seal puller? How hard
is new seal to push in? Can i use a size of PVC pipe that will slide over axle
to push new seal in? I believe the b series 5100, 6100 and 7100 show same
diagram with axle seal being replaced from outside.

Seems almost to simple. Would appreciate any advice as I know leaks only get worse with time.:):)

Your description is correct, my B7100 is the same. Once it was jacked up, the wheel weights & wheels were off, took maybe 5 mins per side. Drove an old screwdriver in the old seal & pried out, then tapped in the new one with a 2x6 block with a clearance hole for the axle.
