I am doing the 50 hour oil change. According to my dealer and my book this tractor takes 7.5 quarts of oil, but after draining all the oil out of the tractor and adding 7 quarts, the dipstick shows that it is overfull. My dipstick has two holes in it, the first one near the bottom of the dipstick and the second one about 3 inches above the first. The level has always been on the second hole but now the oil level is way above the second hole which led me to wonder if the tractor was over full. Does anyone have any clue where the oil level should be on the dipstick for this model Kubota?

Did you start the tractor and allow the oil filter to fill with oil. This may account for the difference.....??
