Hi everyone. I am new to Kubota and this forum. I purchased a new l3901 a couple of weeks ago and still trying to make friends with it. It replaces a 1950 Ford 8N that I have owned for 33 years. Using the Kubota is like being on a different planet compared to the 8N. My question is: I have a set of "H" pattern chains for the 8N tires. (12.4x28), can they be made smaller to fit the Kubota rear tires (11.2x24).? New "H" pattern chains for the Kubota are over $500. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Yes they can. There is a chain tool made for the job. This and a cut off wheel or bolt cutters will do the job. There are youtube videos on how.
