Can I safely pull my disabled BX23S tractor?

Appears that yesterday we punctured the hydro filter under the tractor. I want to use my utility vehicle to pull it across my yard to a more favorable location for doing the repairs. I have released the brakes and put the selector into neutral and I can roll it but I need to move it 3-400 feet. Any reason for me to NOT do this?

Thanks

Martin

And I “think” going slow is better than going fast when moving a hydrostatic transmission.

I tried pulling it from the rear with my utility vehicle. But the problem was the steering - absolutely no turning of the steering was possible. So as long as I wanted to tow it in a straight line I was OK, but that won't help me too much.

Thank

yes pulling is easy, when tranny in neutral.. steering is a 'bit of a bear'. maybe put in 2WD ?
either have a 'driver' or shorten the tow rope. that way it will almost follow you home.
you'll have to 'tug' it to turn, kinda skid it across the grass.
curious as to how you poked the filter ! Mine has a guard.
