Hi,

I have a bx2750d and a bx1860 that I purchased used. The former owner attached the chute controller to the joy stick controller (attached photo).

Is this really where this thing is supposed to be attached? Its not a good design.

Anyone have a better system? I would consider going hydro or electric.

On another note - can someone tell me how to make the blower "float" on the bx1860. I assume there is a float position but I cant seem to get it to work.

thanks as always!

There are some threads on building electric actuators for rotating the chute. The hydraulic works really good, but adding the factory actuator now may be expensive.

To use float push the joystick all the way forward, there should be a detent that holds the joystick forward in the float position. If you have the blower raised when you push it forward it should slowly drop to the ground.
