BX2680 Drive over mower deck, PTO does not line up

I took my mower deck off today, to clean and sharpen the blades. When I went to reconnect, the PTO shaft is off at least 1/2 inch vertically. What am I doing wrong?

Is the deck up or down? Sometimes it needs to be moved a little. Make sure you have the PTO select in the rear PTO position so you can turn the mid driveshaft freely to help it line up a little.

Guessing you don't have the mower height adjustment under the seat to all the way down to zero. Look at where it is set and then spin it around and stop one click short.

I have the mower deck lowered, I have tried several times. I will look at it again tomorrow when I have time, thanks for your help.
