I am getting ready to pull the trigger on one of these. Both are new, but the 3000 is a 2012 and comes with a loader. The 3000 includes the cab, ac and heater for 27k. The big attraction to the bx is the backhoe and where it can go.
I have 5 acres of which 4 is in alfalfa and I have someone else bale and swath. I have another 5 acres in the mountains that has a bunch of pines and is developed with a 100 foot driveway and a 1/4 mile private road. Have been hiring snow removal as it is hard to time since it is a second home.
I want to maintain my driveways, attach a snowblower to front and possible stump digging and retaining wall work.
I can get the bx for 18.5 and was going to get the land pride 1548 grader thrown in with the 1000 kubota promo.
I don't ever plan to cut and bale myself but might consider core gating and the bx is probably too small. I can see a real handiness of the backhoe if it is around but don't want to regret too small of a tractor.
I know I am rambling and I have poured over threads of others that struggled with the same decision. Any other wisdom orange owners?

I can't comment on the hay issue but I can tell you if you plan to pull stumps the BH will be a must have item.

My driveway is 500 feet and goes to 3 cars wide at the top. The BX does a great/quick job of removing snow with the FEL and a cheap 5' back blade.

Here's a video of my BX removing snow:
