OK,curious...
why the need for shorter teeth ?

Working in a lot of hard clay doing shallow ditches. Would like something that will break the surface a bit but almost finish. Standard teeth are too long for this and no teeth just bounce off the surface in the hard, dry clay

Can't you just adjust the angle of the bucket so the teeth dig in less? Unless the steeper angle of the shorter teeth would scrape better I suppose on the hard surface...

But it seems like with two passes of the existing teeth you could accomplish the same thing. Scrape first, clean up second. Actually thinking about it, even shorter teeth might not prevent a second cleanup pass...They would still need to be angled enough to dig in, which would keep the bucket off the surface somewhat, although less than with longer teeth.

You mention shorter teeth would provide an almost finish. What is the finish step? Just curious really, and not much help at my end...
