BX2200D Mower Rear Link Banging When Using 3PH

Over the past couple of months the mid mount mower linkage ("K13000 Mower Rear Link RH and LH" on Messicks) has started banging and crashing when raising and lowering my 3PH. I've though about just taking it all off because I don't have a MMM and don't intend on buying one but before I do that I'd like to know if anyone has had this issue or knows what might be causing it so I can treat the problem, not the symptom.

Raise your three-point to full up, turn the deck height knob to TOP. Now your deck linkage will not move up and down with the three-point hitch.

This makes it worse. If I lower it down to around 3.0 it stops but then I have the linkage hanging down. It's almost as if, when set at "top" it's too high or something?
