Hey everyone, I am trying to revive my Father-In-Laws 2014 BX 1870. The tractor has sat outside and got moisture into the instrument panel and it's connector. This has ruined both the panel and connector. It will not currently start. This tractor has not been used in more than 6 months. I had a question to try to help me pin down what to do to get this tractor back running.

Does the instrument panel have to be connected in order for the tractor to start and run? I was not sure if some part of the ignition system is controlled through the instrument panel?

Any input will be greatly appreciated.

Welcome aboard!!!

Looking at the electrical diagram on page 6-M1 of the Workshop Manual it appears the CPU is part of the Meter Panel. So I would think yes it needs to be connected to operate.

If the CPU is shot you're screwed, you'll need a new one. I have no idea how to tell if the CPU is good or not, hopefully one of the more experienced members here can chime in.
