I have search and read that some people on here has use a bush hog / rotary cut with the BX1500. Ok here my deal I have some property that is in my mind to ruff to use the 54" MMM so I have been using my dads Ferguson 30 with his 6 foot bush hog. Well don't know how many have used one of those but it to me is just not a good tractor to bush hog with. No Live Pto and the tractor is 1950 model. So when I go from BX1500 to that it like wow. Now what I will be cutting is mainly grass that is hilly I have mowed it with MMM and it was ok just had to watch out for rocks So what I want it know should I look at the 42 land pride or get 48 inch

I know this is a year old now, but if it helps I use a 42" to mow about 5 acres 3 times a year. It does not bog down at all.

My BX1500 w/ 48" deck was a MONSTER on the tall grass I left uncut all year.
Rabbit mode + full throttle + 1/2 speed. Fully raised deck, but I'm just rough cutting everything.
