Trying to get this McMillen Post Hole Digger on my BX 24. Got all this used and with no instructions passed down.
The McMillen Post Hole Digger (Earth Auger D450 Series) has two quick connect hydraulic hoses about 3.5 feet long, one male, one female.
They are not long enough for the attachment to go on the front loader area, I don't think.
Also the mounting bracket looks more like the one for a backhoe mount. I found the website and printed up a operators and parts manual for this 450 series from McMillen but it is not comprehensive.
I am leaning towards the auger attaching to the backhoe somewhere.
Anyone have this particular set up and can pass on some advice and ideas?
Thanks much.

From what you are saying it sounds like the auger you have is designed to go on a skid loader and run off the skid loaders hydraulics via the hydraulic motor that the two hoses hook to. It is not designed to run off a tractor. Even if you could rig up something off the rear couplers where your backhoe hooks up, the tractor would not have enough hyd. flow to run the auger.
