I am attempting to mount a bh77 to my b7800. It looks like it is going to be easier for me to use a PTO pump for the hydraulics. My question is, Does the bh77 have a main pressure relief built into the backhoe controls, or do i need to add one? Also, I have heard the tank needs to be at least gallon for gallon with the GPM. Can I add an oil cooler to cut down on the size of the tank?

I don't think the BH77 does have a pressure relief, considering it was designed to work with internal hydraulics. I've been wrong before, though. It would have to vent to the return line. Have a quick look at the valve header If you don't see something that looks like a valve with no handle, it likely doesn't have a relief. IIRC, it's usually powered from the Power Beyond pressure point on the newer tractors.

Yes, that would make sense. I think I will put one in, just to be safe, it won't hurt having two, even if it does have an existing one. Thanks for the input.
