I am so annoyed. I saw this thread the other day and didn't think anything of it. I spread 5 years of stone yesterday and lost the nut that holds the battery cover on my BX`1880. What is that nut?
Do you mean the black plastic knob holding the under-the-instrument-panel screen on?
It appears to be ¼" X 20 tpi, so it should be readily available. I might be metric, though. Maybe just check it with an ordinary nut to see. If metric you might have to order it from a dealer or someplace like McMaster Carr.
Apparently didn't tighten the knob. Or maybe I just forgot to attach it?. Parked the tractor and realized the knob was gone. Buggers.... Wondered what this little thing is going to cost. Got lucky. Knob was laying on the floor. The Messick's price is reasonable. Hopefully the local Kubota dealer stocks. Thinking of purchasing a spare next time I end up at the dealer. That will insure I will never lose the original.
Sort of similar.
Yesterday, I was felling a few trees. Hot!. Caps on the ends of my loppers kept falling off, so I decided to stick them in my pockets and glue on later. So I was kind of keeping an eye on the ground. Found a new 1" snap ring... what is it from???
