The last couple of times I used my BX, it would intermittently die out like the switch was turned off . Sometimes, leaning one way or the other, would cause the problem. I suspected one of the seat switches, so I decided to check them out. The switches were still intact and being depressed by the seat bracket and the wires were connected and intact, so I removed them so I could test them on the bench. The top one had a dead spot when the plunger was depressed about half way, probably where it was in normal operation. The other one, which I think was for the PTO safety circuit seemed fine. I checked with the local dealer, and they didn't have one, and needing to use the BX to mow this weekend, I made a jumper and bypassed the switch. I may check Messick's to see if they have them in stock, or most likely leave it as is, as I'm the oonly one that ever operates it.
