Hey, I have a b7510 in the fleet that I’m having issues with. It will turn over but not start. The solenoid on the pump in our other ones makes a loud click when they key is turned and this one is not. The relay for it clicks and I have no resistance in the wires between the relay and the solenoid. Can’t seem to be getting power out of the relay though. Do these have the power to stop or power to run solenoid? There is 2 wires coming from it that splice into one wire that goes to the relay. Not sure if I need to get a new relay coming or what? Was wondering if anyone had any insight on what to check for on these.

not sure if it’s related or not but I just fixed a broken wire by the little fuse block because it didn’t turn over, does now turn over But having this issue now.
Thanks in advance to anyone who has any ideas!

You are not doing anything to identify which relay or which solenoid. If the engine is turning over I'm going to assume the starter solenoid is working. There is also a fuel shutoff solenoid which shuts off the fuel supply when you turn off the ignition. Normally they fail in the pass through position. You can try bypassing the fuel shutoff solenoid to see if you can get the tractor running. You will need to then read your manual as there should be an alternate fuel shutoff under the hood to turn the engine off.

I have attached the electrical wiring diagram and the pages dealing with the stop solenoid.

The B7410 works differently than the B7510.

The B7510 powers the solenoid for a few seconds to stop the engine.
The usual complaint is not being able to stop the engine when things go wrong.

I will re-read the material again a bit later today to make certain I am understanding the system fully.

edit: I checked and have attached a page dealing with the function of the relay on the B7510.

It is to STOP the engine by sending power for a few seconds as controlled by the Timer in the OPC controller.

I sent power straight to the solenoid and it clicked and tractor started normally. Then when I unhooked the power to solenoid it shut down.

Interesting, could you please post your tractor serial number.

Check and see if there is an OPC controller as shown in the illustration.

It would not be the first time a model is wired differently than the WSM

Yes it has the OPC. But like I said I found where both wires coming from the solenoid go into one wire and I sent power directly to that and it started normally. At this point I’m tempted to put a toggle switch in on those wires and call it good. Haha we have 4 of these and they are tiller tractors in barns for us. They all have some nice “farmer repairs” like that on them. But they are tough little tractors.

Update. I am not getting any power out of the opc for the relay. Still not sure on this tractor because like I said when I give power to the solenoid it opens and starts up which seems pretty backwards to me with what I know about these. Before I was getting the relay to click but had a blown fuse that didn’t let the working side to power. Now I don’t get it to click at all. No idea what’s going on
