I have a B2150 with turf tyres on the rear.

The tractor sits too low to the ground so I'd like to lift it up a bit.
I assume I could achieve this by putting original sized wheels & ag tyres on, but having a bit of trouble working out the correct size.

Tractor currently has 275/70R16 tyres on the rear.
That sounds like a 16" rim to me.
These tyres stand 770mm tall (30.3")

www.tractordata.com says rear tyre size is 8.2-24 which I assume is a 24" rim but I can't work out what that means in terms of total height of the tyre.
It needs to be no more than 900mm (35.3") to fit under the guards.

I've checked with an ex-Kubota dealer here and he tells me the right size is 12.4x16 (16" rim), again I don't know what that means as a tyre height.

Tractor has had the front drive shaft removed and so is rear wheel drive only, so I don't need to worry about matching front & rear tyre sizes.

I guess I have a few questions :

Opinions on the correct wheel & tyre sizes to get the rear end of my B2150 back up to a normal height.
Any ideas of which other Kubota models that same wheel size will fit onto (makes shopping for used wheels easier).
Any non-Kubota cross matches that might also fit (someone has offered me a pair of wheels off an Iseki).
Any ideas on how to determine total height of a tyre ?

Thank you
