I have a 1983 B6100D and would like to install a more comfortable seat such as spring or air ride.I have one on another tractor and was wondering if anyone has done this and how they reworked the base mounting.
Thank`s

I recently replaced mine due to orig rusting out/splitting.

I cut the mounts off the bottom of the orig seat (use a plasma cutter, but a torch would have worked, or a cutting wheel on angle grinder) and put the mounts back on the tractor, then clamped the new seat base (with all padding/covers removed) to them w/welding clamps, removed the assembly, tacked, checked for fit, then fully welded.

everything fit fine and worked good.
