My 2013 L3800 just has an idiot light for oil pressure. As a 'learning project' I am going to build an Arduino computer to monitor oil pressure, water temp battery voltage and current. The 1st part will be getting the oil pressure display working. Adding other sensors is pretty easy.
So its my understanding that the oem sensor is 1/8 BSPT. I just looked at where its situated and I think I'm going to have to 1st put in a 1/8 npt to BSPT adapter. From there a 45 deg ell to get it away from the partition before adding a tee and two new sensors - a switch for the existing idiot light and the other a resistive sending unit for my Arduino.

Has anyone added a second device off this pressure port that can offer me advice on clearances or anything else?
