Been running my tractor I got last spring pushing and lifting snow. Uneven ground. I keep the ballast box low and noticed it seemed to be a little higher. Pushed the lever to try to get it to go down and it will only go up. I've only used this function once or twice so it can't be worn. What do you think? Now it is stuck in the up position that makes it dicey to drive that way because of the higher center of gravity I don't need.

Check to see if the 3 point rate of lowering speed knob ( Black knob under the front of the seat) is turned fully clockwise. In that position, your 3 point will be blocked from lowering. Try turning it counterclockwise one turn and try lowering the box.

There's a knob directly below the front of your seat that controls the return speed of the 3-point hydraulics. Yours is probably tightened closed or almost so, so loosen by twisting it "open" as if it were a bolt head sticking out of the seat frame, or counterclockwise facing the knob.
Shouldn't have to twisting force it too hard, and you may feel a few indents as it opens. One to 1 1/2 full turns opening should be plenty to see the 3-point arms drop. If the box scraper is on, it may drop suddenly so make sure it's clear underneath first.

Thanks guys! A while ago I adjusted that knob as what I could see in the owners manual that knob was for adjusting the suspension of the seat. I will have to see next time I have it running, as that must be the problem.

Yes, I confused this with the similar control on the seat in the owners manual for suspension which mind does not seem to have? Maybe it is for the cab model?

It has suspension. Should be a T handle on the rear of seat if I remember mine correctly.
