I am currently splitting my 2350dt 4wd apart to replace smoked clutch. Had to use bucket just to push tractor over 3" lip into workshop
Anyhow, it appears the driveshaft connecting the front and rear differentials might slip out from one end so I don't have to drop the whole thing. But it's looking like dropping the whole unit might be the safer bet. Anyone have experience on this? Thanks...
5/1/2012. Update, I did it. 4wd unit is really basic. Gear box on bottom of axle case held on by four bolts. Remove selector lever pin and unit with tube and axle out from under tractor. Pretty straight forward. Would recommend ordering rubber doughnut seal for tube. Mine was cracked.
