2 weeks ago I was mowintg a field and it acted like it ran out of fuel twice. last week we were mowing another field and it did the same thing but died. I was able to get it started and to the shop. I cleaned the fuel separator, drained the fuel and added new fuel from a different fuel station. ran it again for a bit and it died again. I changed the fuel filter and did some harrowing in the arena and it died again after 4 passes.

Any advice from this point would be helpful. Not a mechanic.

You may have something clogging the fuel supply lines. There are biological and corrosion issues that can cause clogging.

I would recommend you looking at how much fuel is getting to the injector pump by removing the fuel line and seeing how much fuel is flowing at different points.

If there is a lift pump you may need to see if it is pumping fuel properly to the injection pump.

The tank may be rusting on the inside or some biological growth that is causing clogging the tank outlet of the tank. There are chemicals that can be used to stop the biological growth but the rust is more difficult to remove.
