Hello,
After a transmission service, my rtv now has an odd lack of response after pressing the throttle. There is a delay of 3 or 4 seconds before the transmission engages and it starts moving. It doesnt seem to matter which gear is selected, the response is the same. Top speed is also reduced. The tipper works as normal and the delay seems to get better as it warms up. I used super UDT oil and kubota filters.

Has anyone had similar problems? Grateful for any suggestions at this point.

regards

Did you change the oil in the hydraulic oil tank under the RH seat or did you just change the oil in the range trans-axle?

Oh... didnt realise there was another tank :). I looked up how to change the transmission oil and there was no mention of an additional tank - what does the second tank supply? I think I need to browse the workshop manual some more.

The fluid in the trans-axle is only to lube the gears, shafts, and bearings in the case.
The tank under the RH seat is the supply oil for the hydrostat, steering, and any hydraulics the unit has.
If you changed the suction and HST filters, you lost some of the oil from the tank and the fluid level is now too low for the hydrostat.

The tank has a drain plug on the bottom (14 mm hex head) and a suction screen on the side of the hose fitting. It has a fill plug with a dipstick on the top of the tank.
