I have an older 10 foot 3 point rotary cutter that has rotten rubber disks in the flex couplers. Has anyone just deleted these couplers? The main driveline has slip clutch- any alternatives other than buying new rubber disks? Im looking for a cheap way out as this cutter is old.

I certainly would not do so.

Why not just buy replacements?

I would certainly not operate it without the flexible couplers.

Old truck tires?

The replacements are fairly expensive.. they have 16 rubber disks at 26 bucks a piece. After doing more research, i did find thicker single disks for the same price that rhino's use. I am going to try and convert it to the single--4 really thick ones vs 16 really thin ones. -
