    L175 Clutch/Transmission issue

Thanks LRP, I found your reverse lock pics. I might make something like that up while I'm working out how to do the rest as it would keep me going for a while I think. I'd love to see the pics of how to put the shifting forks back in. There was also a post suggesting that bending the fork is...

    L175 Clutch/Transmission issue

I've got this same problem with my L1500DT where you need to hold the gear stick up in reverse otherwise as soon as you release the clutch it will pop out. I want to work out how to fix it between now and when even holding the stick in reverse won't work but to be honest I don't know where to...

Great, I have hilly land and I'm hoping to rotary hoe to break everything up then grade on an angle to create terraces. So anyone know if I can get these things in Aus. It's not on the bareco website.

    Levelling box for L1500DT

Thanks StorminN but I mean the adjustable bar on the right hand side that allows you to change the level on your implement. There seems to be a few different names for them. Here's a better link: http://www.eezs.com/product.php?task=detail&Product_Id=109 Looks like you can buy generic ones...

    Levelling box for L1500DT

Hi I'm fairly sure they are called a levelling box. Like this: http://www.bareco.com.au/files/hydraul2001/hy22a.htm but not hydraulic. Anyway I need a new one because someone has welded mine fixed and I'm wondering if this is something I can buy generic off the shelf like a top bar or do I...

coolant leaking out of side of engine

Hi I have coolant leaking out of the side of my engine. The leak is right behind the starter motor and appears to be coming from one of two inverted cap like things. Can anyone help with what I need to do here? Cheers Monte

    top linkage connection point

Hey Vic Are you saying don't use the PTO drive shaft that came with the tiller if I use the short brackets and long toplink? I don't actually have the original and was planning on either geting a new one or seeing if the one I have for my slasher will fit. As for the weight I can't see how...

    top linkage connection point

Thanks Bulldog I guess I can only try it and see if will work ok with a normal long toplink. Cheers Monte

    top linkage connection point

Ok, I've taken off the long brackets. Vic can you tell me what would happen if you just connected up that rotary hoe with a normal top link off short brackets? I don't have any real need to fold the rotary hoe up behind the tractor like that and if it just means it will rise and fall just like...

    top linkage connection point

Thanks Bulldog and Vic Vic that is exactly what I have. It really helped to have a clear picture of what the short ones look like. Looking at it I think the quickest/cheapest way for me to sort this is to unbolt them and take them to the local engineering shop to be cut down and have those...

    L1500 Radiator Cap?

This happened to my L1500DT and I got it recored for around $350 Aus.The guy that recored it wasn't all that impressed with the quality of the original core and said the recore would last much longer. Cheers Monte

    top linkage connection point

Hi Not sure what it's meant to be called but it sticks out from the tractor and the top link fits between the holes in the steel plates so I'm calling it a that. My L1500DT came with a top linkage connection point that sticks out about a foot from the back of the tractor. I've been told that's...

early model cartridge oil filters on a L1500

Just an update, not that anyone still seems interested in this thread but I got the new filter head plus gasket at a cost of AUS$ 280. As Wix and NAPA filters are few and far between down in Aus and the kubota filter was $60 I reasoned that I was better off just upgrading. Cheers Monte

    L1500DT clutch housing drain

From the 10 tips Keep clutch disc free of oil and condensation. Oil and water will cause your clutch disc to slip and prematurely wear. Inspect the rear engine seal and transmission input shaft seals for oil leakage. There is a drain at the bottom of the clutch housing that drains condensation...

Hi Bert Where did you get the PDFs I bought an I & T Kubota shop manual that covers some Ls and some Bs but there's no part numbers and no basics. Cheers Monte

early model cartridge oil filters on a L1500

Hi Wags How did you go getting the full assembly in oz? I'm south of Hobart and have emailed the part numbers to a kubota dealer. Not sure what kind of response I will get as I don't know if the L175 or L185 ever came to Aus??? PS Did you find it difficult, expensive or impossible to find the...

    L1500DT oil filter

Hi I ordered a Baldwin B178 as listed for L1500 on the oil filter page and when I got it I found it is a screw on filter rather than the required paper cartridge type. Does anyone have an idea why my L1500DT would have a different filter and what filter I need to order? Thanks in advance Monte
