lifer, You are probably correct, I was playing with it when I first installed it. That's when the video was shot. According to the tach 2500 rpm gives the mower the correct rpms. Bet that may be the sweet spot and should be twice as fast. Coop

2222, I agree it is slow! If I was splitting to make $$ I would throttle the engine past a high idle or put a smaller cylinder on it. It does not lack power getting through the wood. I just split for cleaning up around my place and to provide wood for friends campfires. Coop
