    Used Snowblower Transformation

Thank you for the tip! I'll check it out before the snow flies, maybe throw some leaves in it! I didn't remove the augers and it looks like the previous owner just replaced the shear bolts with whatever he had laying around, so I don't think he took it apart either. The only new part on the...

    Assist Lift Spring

@Kassy I bought these springs from Amazon, ASIN # B0D21NKYF5, $20 a piece. They're 8.5 inches long, put they went on pretty easy.

    Ready for Winter

I think I'm ready for Winter this year! Bought this used Kubota G5200H, the Before photo was the advertising photo on Marketplace, then did some cleanup, repairs, and some painting, so I think it's ready for prime time! The repairs consisted of a new ignition switch, battery, battery cable...

    Used Snowblower Transformation

Update: waiting on Amazon to deliver a 12v DC motor (ASIN B0765KZ3TJ) and a left/right toggle switch (ASIN B00U1G5AR6 ) to rig up the rotation of the chute. I think it will be a fairly straight-forward installation, welding up a bracket, and connecting with a universal joint. If anyone is...

    Used Snowblower Transformation

Thank you! I completely agree with the advantages of blowers vs. shovels! I have two 150' driveways that I maintain through the Michigan winters, so I'm hoping that this rig will do the job well! I saw a setup that someone fabricated for a hydraulic chute rotation, that would be much better...

    Used Snowblower Transformation

Thank you! It has the skid plates on the back side, should be good giving it enough clearance to avoid damage. Yes, not sure what the previous owners were thinking, probably a case of just have a bolt that would fit. I bought a box of shear bolts, but they must be for the impeller because...

    Used Snowblower Transformation

I'm very anxious to get some snow this year and that's a mouthful! I'm used to using my walk-behind Husqvarna (it's also orange so I thought it would be okay to use the brand name :)) two-stage blower. I recently picked up this used G2546A this year with a used G5200H tractor; they threw in...

    Electrical Problem

Problem solved! I received both cables today and changed on the positive cable, connected everything back up, and tested. I have a nice BRIGHT light on the dash. I'll clean up the negative just to make sure it's solid, but you guys solved another one!! Well done and THANK YOU!

    Electrical Problem

Love the Marvel reference (unobtanium)! At least I think that was from Marvel! You and @JimDeL are all over this! I didn't even have to turn the key to the start position to see the effect of the load, especially since turning the key to On only dimly lit the indicator in the first place. I...

    Electrical Problem

Thanks Jay. I just took a voltmeter and checked from the positive lead at the starter to the negative terminal of the battery and got a solid 12.6 volts. Did the same thing from the positive lead at the starter but checked it to the chassis ground and received the same voltage reading. I left...

    Electrical Problem

Hello! My G5200H is being stubborn. I just bought it used and replaced the battery and ignition switch. It started up after sitting in the seller's garage for over two years, it does run great! With no other changes/replacements to the electrical system and not much use while cleaning it up...

    Assist Lift Spring

Agree... I counted about 36 loops in the coil and considering a spring length of 9", an inch off each end for the loops/hooks, that's a wire thickness of about .2", five per inch. I should be able to find something along that line.

    Assist Lift Spring

The only picture I've seen of one is in the IPB manual and that's a drawing and a b&w photo (attached), no specifications for it other than "Spring" and the part number. The dimensions you provided should get me in the ballpark. If I go too thick on the wire size, I still don't see it lifting...

    Assist Lift Spring

That's a great start! Thank you! I should be able to find something that will work in that space, just wanted to avoid getting something too long in there and it wouldn't serve the purpose.

    Assist Lift Spring

Good morning. I have a G5200H with the 46" two-stage snowblower and I do not have the assist lift springs, pn# 70060-01359. I really don't want to pay $50 each for new ones so I'm wondering if anyone knows the specifications (length, tension, etc.) on these springs that would assist me in...
